The National Honor Society (NHS) is one of the most respected student recognition programs in the nation, honoring more than 1 million students each year. Membership goes far beyond good grades — it recognizes students who exemplify the four pillars of excellence: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

Students in NHS join a prestigious community of motivated, academically driven peers. Founded in 1921 and supported by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, NHS also helps students prepare for life after high school by offering scholarships, college and career resources, mentorships, and nationwide leadership conferences.

Advisers receive guidance, tools, and project ideas from the national organization to support strong, active chapters that shape students into responsible, community-minded leaders.
